Voice of Momo and Appa

Dee Bradley Baker (voice of Momo and Appa) recently revealed that he will be playing more than one part in Avatar: The Legend of Korra. We had known that he would be voicing a character for the upcoming mini-series, but now we know a bit more about just what Baker will be voicing. According to a reply Baker made on his Twitter account, the seasoned voice-actor will be voicing an actual person in addition to Korra’s animal.

Fan speculation has been that Korra will have an animal transport friend similar to Roku's dragon, Fang, or Aang's sky bison, Appa. Just what type of animal Korra will have is anybody's guess, as is what human character Baker will be voicing. But that can't keep us from speculating.

Legend of Korra Voice Cast Announced

Wall Street Journal has written a follow up article to their Korra reveal from yesterday that announces the main cast list for The Legend of Korra. Here it is:

Janet Varney as Korra
Kiernan Shipka as Jinora
Daniel Dae Kim as Hiroshi Sato
David Faustino as Mako
Seychelle Gabriel as Asami
Lance Henriksen as Lieutenant
P.J. Byrne as Bolin
JK Simmons as Tenzin

Some -- if not most -- of those names should sound fairly familiar to you. Seychelle Gabriel was Princes Yue in live-action movie The Last Airbender. Daniel Dae Kim was General Fong in the Avatar: The Last Airbender and Jin from the TV series Lost. David Faustino you might know from Married With Children. Kiernan Shipka plays Sally from Mad Men. And JK Simmons you should recognize from the Spider-Man films, etc. All in all a pretty impressive main cast. What do you think?
